Frequently Asked Questions
-
Where can I stay?
Please check out our “Travel + Stay” page for a list of recommended accommodations. We do not have room blocks as they are not common in Sayulita, but you have plenty of options within all price ranges!
-
When should I arrive?
We will be arriving in Sayulita on Wednesday, April 27th and staying until Tuesday, May 3rd. Feel free to come and stay for however long you’d like! However, we do recommend arriving by Saturday April 30th at the latest to account for flight cancellations, missed connections, and other travel mishaps. We’d also love to see you at our welcome party on Saturday evening!
-
Are kids welcome?
We’ve decided on an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy. Thank you for understanding!
-
What is the dress code?
Cocktail attire. Men, feel free to ditch the tie if you’d like. Ladies, feel free to wear heels as both our ceremony and reception will be free of sand or grass! There is a pool at our venue, should you want to bring your bathing suit for a post-reception swim ;)
-
How do I get to the wedding?
Villa Valentin is located in the jungle 10 minutes inland from the ocean, accessible by car or golf cart. For those staying in town, we will have transportation available from the central plaza in Sayulita to Villa Valentin on wedding day at 4:15pm. If you are staying outside of Sayulita (i.e. The Conrad), the best way to get to our wedding is via cab.
-
Will there be gluten free / vegetarian / vegan / special diet options?
Yes! We are very understanding of dietary restrictions and will be accommodating all of the above.
-
What do I need to know about COVID-19 concerns?
Both our ceremony and reception will be outdoors, which ensures extra safety. There are no restrictions when it comes to entering Mexico. You need a negative COVID test 1 day prior to traveling home to enter back into the US. St. Luke’s has a drop-in clinic for testing, and The Conrad has its own on-site testing.
-
When should I RSVP by?
Kindly let us know whether or not you’ll be attending our wedding, welcome party, and boat trip by March 1, 2022 at the latest. You can RSVP to all of the above here.
-
What is the best way to get around Sayulita?
Sayulita is small and for the most part, walkable. You may also want to consider renting a golf cart during your stay, as that is the most common way both locals and tourists get around town.

Should I get pesos upon arriving?
Although most places accept both credit cards and US dollars, it’s a good idea to get some pesos for cab rides, etc. Please note you will need your passport when exchanging for pesos!
